“Music Heals Your Soul” or is it “Music Heels Your Sole”?

Music Heels Your Sole, is more fitting for the sake of my blog, grammar wise it’s a major faux pas, or is it? Music, Music and more Music is my style, if you have been following my blog,  you will notice that I often make reference to various song verses, I  always seem to blurt out a random song lyric for just about any situation.

I honestly forget why I walked to the kitchen but I sure can sing a song from 1982 from beginning to end without missing a word. Certain songs will jog my memory and can take me back to a specific place or an exact event and that memory is very vivid, the details to even what I was wearing is amazing to me. My random Music blurt for this Post:

“Walking in rhythm, Moving in sound, Humming to the music, Trying to move on”.

My love for music runs deep in my Soul and moves through me like blood in my veins. I can’t sit still, I have to at very least sway, tap my hand or foot to the rhythm.

O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.

Psalm 95:1

When a good song comes on, I am dancing like no one is watching, sometimes not even intentionally and other times very intentional. At church, I really lose all inhibitions and I feel every word to even sometimes the point of goosebumps breaking out all over me.

My husband will confirm, I will dance on the drop of a dime when I like the music. I will walk in public rocking, swaying, singing and moving to the beat, he just laughs. I hope you have a good visual on this because that 50 something lady singing to my hairbrush and practicing my moves across the living room is no doubt me!

I want to share a music product that I love! My Sonos Play speaker, it has amazing sound quality better than Bose! It’s unbelievably crisp and clear, amazing. It is very compact and connects to my Wi-Fi.  At first, I bought the single unit just to see if it was as good as I heard it was, then I went to the Sonos Play 5.

I now have one in every room and play different music all controlled by an app on my phone and or my laptop. My newest love is streaming Amazon Music. I can play any song at any time, download songs or entire albums to my playlist, and play genre-based channels.

I am addicted to the 70’s and The Christian Channel. Just pick it and play it and it pairs with my Sonos Play, it is the best! I am in love with this combination!

Here is the good news, it is healthy, mindful and I am not crazy, nor alone.  I decided to research the effects of music and here are a few fun facts about the positive touch it can have on us.

Improves mood, increases memory function, eases the severity of pain, improves cognition, better sleep, lessens anxiety, improves depression and encourages exercise. So see, I am not crazy, I am filling my soul with joy and exercising my body dancing like a darn fool!

It’s all good, from my Soul to my soles!

Spread the love!
