Blogging For Blonde Senior Dummies

The struggle is real, between blonde moments and senior surges the scramble of today’s technology can be a rather daunting task. I will confess, I decided to take my life-long dream of writing a book to a less evasive route, so to say.

Choosing to write a blog as an alternative,  in my mind was going to be easier, more effective and project a more modern appeal. Personally, I have always had my hands into some sort of technology and navigate it comfortably and with much ease.

Otherwise, I have very little fear of jumping into complicated technically challenging projects, like this. As a matter of fact, I enjoy being challenged and I am obsessed with learning new things, so this was the perfect fit.

I literally have spent the last several months thinking, watching, reading, listening, praying, and gathering thoughts, photos, scriptures, quotes, memories and researching topics and facts, etc.

It has been hard to contain my excitement or explain to family and friends what I have been up to with all this. I literally have sticky notes everywhere and scribbles on random papers.

My phone is over-loaded with random photos, notes of relevant thoughts that pop-up that I don’t want to forget, as well as random moments that I want to remember and screenshots of ideas or facts that I find along the way.

Finally, I have it all laid out in my mind and know exactly where I am going and what I need to do to “Git r done”!

Sooooo I thought, ….Domain, hosting, content, plug-ins, landing pages, social media accounts, linking, branding and the list goes on and on.

Youtube videos are amazing! Blue Host was a dream, helping me start on the right foot, making the beginning of my blogging journey simple and affordable! And WordPress got me well under-way. Then God sent me Destinee, on a whim in a mutual group we share.

We connected from JUST ONE post and from there she took the box of carefully crafted puzzle pieces, sorted, adjusted and put them into this beautiful, fully functioning, hand-made work of digital art, that I so proudly call my Blog!

Her knowledge, advice, and direction was undeniably the crucial element I needed to bring this all life, my dream is now a reality.  She has been a blessing to me in so many ways and I will continue to work closely with her to keep this Blog growing and glowing, with Grace of course.

As the song goes, ♫♪ “Thank God for Good directions and turnip greens (Destinee Solano)”  ♫♪

Spread the love!
